Exhibition & Soup Storytelling
-Stories from the Northern Country-

An exhibition of art work by Yuki Koji from the Ainu Art Project will be on display from December 18 through 24. On December 23, Koji Yuki will be joined by Maika of Mukashi Omocha to share Ainu stories, with music accompaniment by Reniala (Yu + Suzuki Eiji).

Ainu Culture Public Seminar "Kiroroan"
"From the World of Woodcarving –A Vision of New Ainu Art– “

Synopsis:
Learning woodcarving from his father Nuburi Toko, Mr. Toko has created many works that incorporate a new perspective into the traditions developed by his forebears. We will hear from Mr. Toko about his experiences and visions for the future as a woodcarving craftsman, one that hopes to spread both high-quality and easily accessible art of the Ainu people to a wider audience.

* Kiroroan means "happy" or "fun" in the Ainu language, and is the title of the Ainu Culture Public Seminar series regularly held by the Tokyo Ainu Culture Center.
